Surface Grinding Applications
24-hr. (minimum) workshop
This workshop is designed for the entry-level machinist or beginning engineer to apply hands on learning to a manual surface grinder. It covers the basic nomenclature of the surface grinder, wheels and hubs, fixtures and basic grinding operations. The grinding operations include grinding flat, parallel and perpendicular surfaces, squaring procedures, wheel selection and inspection processes. This workshop can be customized to the customers needs. The recommended pre-requisite is a measurement tool class or experience with calipers, micrometers, gage blocks and dial indicators.
